It is 277 to neutral. Never mind that it is 277 to ground, too. :)
The white wire goes to neutral. If you just have motors, there maybe isn't neutral. You will have to run both neutral and ground to each fixture from the panel. Then hook them to the same buss at the panel. Just cuz.
