Up here, MN dot has been telling people that they shouldn't merge until the last minute. Everyone tries to merge too soon. They claim they have done studies showing that traffic will flow faster if everyone used both lanes until they absolutely have to merge.
I hate people who pull out right in front of you, forcing you to slow down, THEN turn at the next corner.
