Alton, Ia | The thing I don't understand, is didn't we lose bushels of feed grain? Frozen wheat > less wheat harvested > more corn used for feed rations > higher corn demand > higher corn prices. (Or did the freeze affect human consumption wheat ? Is there a difference?) So why is corn dropping?
I guess I look at it globally, and any loss of ANY crop this year should equate to less supply and higher prices for the entire industry. | |
