If you are good with a 1 inch offset then let her buck! 

I think you are getting real picky about the whole deal.  from what you posted sounds like you are doing GOOD.  I am going to say you can be 2 inches from center of strip and mot lose anything.  More with a coulter strip till, but that is just me.

THis is my second year on strips and I got it drilled in my head again this spring  that I "want" to be more accurate with the strips, plant, and GPS.  My stripper is going 3 pt this summer! and planter will follow.  Sure it can be done good with pull types but I am going to go 3 pt and see what happens.

I wrote that thinking you had a mounted planter,  Do you have mounted or just 2 pt hitch?
