If the person or entity selling is considered a sales agent, as apposed to an independent contractor, the company (Monsanto, or whomever) then can tell the entity what the sales price "will" be. When I go to an out-of-area car dealer for pricing, first question they ask: where do you live by zip code. "I need to check which pricing programs are available to you'. I don't care what the programs in my area are, I want his best price. Equipment dealers are getting more like that everyday. I believe some discussion a couple of years ago about JD dealer having to in effect sell thru the other selling dealer.
