Subject: Re: Is this Price Fixing?

Monsato is a tyrant and a bully but not a poorly run business. I think all of these steps are "encourage" dealers to sell the value of Monsanto seed rather than just obtaining business on price only basis. They can't upset the apple cart but somehow need make Dekalb different than the ASI companies and this is the first step. In the end it will be for there gain and not yours or mine. Maybe I should say price first instead of price only. A good example this in a lot of places us UAP, there business model is high volume, low margin, and covering huge amounts of territory with few people. Even if they have great agonomists they are spread too thin be walking your fields with you or delivering a couple bags of seed that evening you run short. Maybe in the end those services aren't important but until I quit getting call after hours or on Sundays, I will continue to believe service has some value.
