Yes I know there are new technologies on the way but everytime we wear out a technology it costs us even more money. If we don't abuse the present technologies then maybe they wouldn't charge so much for the newer ones since there is no emergency to switch.
As for lazy farmers, I should have said lazier ones because the ones that don't work don't last. I would take input prices from 20 years as well but just remember how much RoundUp has helped farmers reduce tillage practices resulting in less erosion while not sacrificing much yield.
