I have done quite a bit of driving in Illinois this year. As you said there are dry spots here and there and garden spots here and there. But a general rule of thumb from what I have seen is the farther north you go the better it is. I would say overall Illinois is in for a very good crop-maybe not a record on bushels per acre but possibly a record for most # of bushels.
