| My particualr are of wc-IN happens to be on the dry side. Probably around 6" of rain since 4/22. You don't have to go too far north, south or east & you get into areas that have had a lot more rain & you can keep traveling & get into drier area in any direction.
Haven't looked a lot at pollination other than my own farm but from what I have seen I have been pleasantly surprised by the prospects and I have talked to neighbors that say the opposite. As far as my corn I would say that we are looking probably at an average to slightly better than avg crop but most of my soils are heavy black soils that do better in dry years than in wet years. There are some sand farms not too fary way, 3-4 miles, and they are pretty well going to be a disastor. | |
