One big point in varaities is that out there are counles varaities marketed and in reality less than 50% are rely different. Many traits are marketed under 2 or even more names, even from competing seed companies.
Just do a little search in where the mother lines come from and how many are around, who is working with whom, etc..
Same over here with Wheat and OSR (Canola).
