Thumb of Michigan
I'm hoping we have more than 5 yrs on our farm. For us, corn has never been a real problem to keep clean with traditional herbs. The more troublesome weeds in corn for us aren't controlled by RU anyway, so we've steered clear of RUR corn. And so far, I've been able to get by w/o growth regulators post. If I have to use them, its at lower rates. And its always last resort.

Soys on the other had have always been an issue to keep clean. Been all RUR soys for a few years now. I think, well I'm positive, that our corn following is easier to keep clean because of RUR soys. I've never, however, relied on glyphosate alone for weed control in soys. We have too many perenial weeds cropping up that glyphosate won't control. Not because of resistance, just not on the label. I don't ever remember planting RUR soys w/o ether a fall or spring residual. Valor-2-4/d has worked very well for a couple of problems, and we still use Classic post on most of our soys. Not saying thats a program for everyone, just one thats worked so far for us. Marestail use to be a big problem for us when we first started no-till, split apps of metribuzin really did a job on that problem. And I'm pretty sure that's still available.
