I would think your cheapest additive to Roundup to get the job done under those conditions is more Roundup. I would think since the buckwheat is starting to vine something around 2 quarts should do the job. It's not that it isn't active on buckwheat, it just takes a lot. Not many other things are great on big buckwheat either. Liberty would probably work well, but at higher cost.
