Subject: RE: Aphids- how bad are they where you are?

I just finished spraying the last of our beans this evening.  We had a few fields with 80+ aphids per leaf and these were 4' tall beans so that's alot of aphids.  We sprayed about 2/3rds of our beans last week to clean up some weeds and saw just enough aphids that we added some insecticide since we were already making the trip but late last week we started looking at the fields we didn't spray for weeds and couldn't believe the aphid population in them.  Even as small as aphids are when I was spraying I could see them flying everywhere just above the beans and there was usually as swarm of them around the tractor.
