I DON'T use Pioneer seed wheat, even if it 's priced at last years low low price of what 18$ per bag. The P seed guy also sells other brands of wheat as he has only one customer who uses Pioneer, so he only gets 2 pallets in, so he doesn't have to send it back. When the seed man gets home from his meeting, he indicated to me that he would be calling his other suppliers for current pricing. The 30% figure I'm kicking around here is from 2other places that sell wheat, and other seed. They both had seed last year for under 10$/unit, both indicated this year 13-14$ if you order early. As far as seed corn price goes.........it's gonna have to be pretty close to free to entice me after this years big price squeeze on inputs(not just seed).
Could quite easily be all beans /wheat/hay "here", next year.
