Southern Alberta Canada | I have a Massey 285 with three point hitch and loader, it would be about perfect for 25 acres. The tractor has 85hp is quite compact, simple, easy to maintain, has standard size tires that are easy to find used, the loader is very valuable in my opinion it makes the tractor very versatile, it's amazing the stuff you'll be able to do with it, it's also large enough you can lift and handle big hay bales and such if you need to, with quick attach you can remove the loader completely in a few minutes. The three point hitch is also very important because most of the implements for acreages that size will be mounted. Personally I would not go with a cab, most work you do with the tractor on an acreage that size will not take more than a few hours and I think you would find a cab cumbersome.
Hope this helps, good luck on your research and investment. | |
