. Not one of the small hydro tractors has a set and forget ground speed lock. Your foot will feel like it going to fall of holding the hydro in one position and you can never maintain constant ground speed.
I thought most of the smaller hydro's have "cruise control". I would not want a hydro for any row crop work without it. I only have one hydro tractor, a 40HP compact diesel that sees very minimal field work but the cruise gets used extensively in that time and in mowing. I know most recent CIH/NH and Deere hydro's should come with the constant speed. If I was going to primarily pull implements, I would probably want a gear drive as the hydro's seem to take more HP to operate.
How much tractor do I need?
