Southern Illinois | I was hoping to see a chance of rain in the 7 day forecast here in Southern Illinois, but no hope of that yet. We are tring to raise a crop here on 3.1 inches of rain since May 6th. Corn will be fair thanks to early planting and somewhat cool weather at pollination, but the beans are hurting bad and indexes of 100 degrees by the weekend are going to hurt bad. What kind of value would you put on a 1 inch general rain this time of year? Good luck to all of you in this desert like way of farming. | |
