That figure does not surprise me. BASF had somewhere around 23 million acres of Headline going into the season and they sold out - except for what they have been manufacturing at present. It is surprising to me though how so many people jumped on the fungicide bandwagon despite little to no reliable evidence that a fungicide application provides a return on investment - especially considering the fact that disease levels have been very low throughout the Midwest this year. I question the direction that this industry is headed. IPM principles and Best Management practices have very little meaning anymore. |
