have any right to protect the fertility on his land? or should the cash renter be able to mine the fertility out of the soil?

How about yield information which the FSA may require at some point in time? Or protecting crop bases?

If I couldn't get that type of cooperation, I don't think that would be the right tenant for me. I suppose would tell me to stick my farm where the sun won't shine. But that's ok. Someone will accept those terms and pay me an ungodly rent.
