East Central Ia | In the same boat here 10 miles east of Iowa City. Last week could barely find an aphid today was finding 15-30 per leaf. One field is so bad I could hardly see the stalk... had to have been +1000/plant there. It was an isolated "hot spot" but still, I could hardly find them a week ago.
Anyway I am running through them with my self propelled sprayer starting in the morning. Spraying Lorsban for $4.75/ac I think it is. Timing is just right in some fields for some fungicide so I am going to toss some of that in to see what it does on beans... heard lots of mixed results around my area on the beans. | |
