| Ron, our crop consultant was here Tues & we scouted several field while doing tissue test & yield checks. We did see a little silk clipping but appeared to be mostly to be in the refuge corn and not enough to hurt yield. One thing the consultant did point out to me were several leaves that he said the crw beetles had feed on while still in the whoral before the silk had came out. Looked like GLS but was located on the upper leaves instead of the lower lower leaves where it normally starts. He also felt that most of the beetles had moved to the bean fields to lay thier eggs this year before the silks were out thus another reason for seeing little feeding of the silks. | |
