Newfane NY
On corn I get from 30 to 100 bpa more. We always wait too long before we start to water. Today I am watering my test plot. It will be intersting as some of it will not get any water and that will tell me how much I will get this year.

We have 3 hard hose guns, 2 Hobbs and an Ocmis. All are good but the Ocmis puts the best pattern out and can be a one man gun if you have no help. Both kinds have needed little parts but nothing major that the dealer did not have. Do not buy one with an engine drive to run the real back in as when you turn the pump off you must go back to the gun and turn off the Honda.

As for a pump we have 2 pto drives and a 3208 Cat on a Berkley. All are fine but the Cat uses less fuel per inch of water as it is only running the pump and not all the rest of the tractor like the pto drives are.

As for price I would think you are talking atleast $70,000 for a big traveler with 1500 ft of hard hose and a good engine drive pump.
