| Finally got one of those "allways heard about, but never seen" yields in tall fescue. This is a second year field of "Justice" tall fescue. The rain we had may have hurt it some in yield, but more so in harvest ability. Even so, it did EXTREMELY! well. Estimated minimum 3400lbs/acre. :-0 No bs. Our cleanerman's dad had a fileld of vns go 3700lbs/acre. Anyway, here's a couple pics of it for anyone interested.
1772: unreal dense windrow. Wet spots where the stuff lodged in a swirling manner, made the machine not so happy.:-(
1768: only 2.1 to 2.5mph for the whole field maximum speed. Took 2 full days to do 65 acres.
1769: "AUGER'N!!" is about all I can say.
1771: Still auger'n and the helper auger works 100%.
1773: auger'n the other way.
1774: That's allmost 10 ton of grass on that poor ol' 18' truck.
