In western Nebraska, under an ecofallow rotation, it took 10 inches of moisture to make the plant and for every inch after that it was worth 10 bu/A.

140 bu would require 19 inches to be stored in the soil profile and accessible to the corn plant. With a timely 5 inches of water you should be in good shape.
