Home farm is in Centre county, between State College and Bellefonte , no river handy here.

This year we should learn if that river water in your picture grows corn seed that can handle significant drought stress here. We planted some Doeblers corn for 1st time this year. It's triple stack, competing for grain yield with Pioneer's and Monsanto's finest triple stack. Corn from all three colors of triple stack seed bags seem to be pest free this year. Jury is still out on who will win this year's feature race, the race for corn grain yield without rain or river water irrigation.

Very few aphids in beans here this year, beans have shut down and are waiting for those August rains ....................
