tennessee | Hey Rick I'm going on that fact finding mission tomorrow. There's a place in Murray,Ky. (hughes farm service) that sells irrigation equip.. Like you, I wish someone with some experience would come look at my farm to see what would work best. My ground is rolling like yours for the most part. If I had a big dozer for about 2 days in here I think I could put a towable pivot in and get to 90% of my ground. I live on the buffalo river and as far as I know there are no restrictions to pumping water. I saw in your other post about beans burning that yours have good height, consider yourself lucky, mine have no height--they aren't big enough to run the combine through right now. If I could get some water on them in the next 10 days they might make something. I'm thinking a traveller would be the quickest way to get water to part of them anyway. I'll post back what i find out tomorrow. | |
