West Texas | Have used Nutra-Clean in the past with good results. Have something different now and I don't know what it is called.
If I've sprayed peanuts with 2,4-DB I will run the rinse cycle twice with clean water, then fill tank full with water and desired amount of tank cleaner. If I can I let it sit but usually there's another spray job waiting and spray it out. I repeat same thing again and then when I go spray cotton I hold my breath until I know for sure there is no residue damage.
Had some damage show up when starting over the top Rup on cotton. Every time the sprayer sat for a while I had a little bit of 2,4-D damage. Had not sprayed any 2,4-D product since March and tank had been cleaned numerous times. Yet the Rup and the sun heating the hoses etc was pulling that stuff out of the hoses I guess.
Even though I always rinse and purge my boom, I still had damage showing up. Seems like it happens every year. Have stainless tank and boom pipe but the hoses is what get's us.
Have used ammonia too but it's hard to keep on hand as much as I have to clean my tank. We get commercial tank cleaner by the pallet. | |
