You were happy with the contract price when you signed it, you should be happy with it now. If prices are higher, you have an opportunity to do another contract for next year at a higher price. Remember, the guy on the other side of that contract wanted the contract because he figured it would be cheaper than the cash market on the expected delivery date. This time, he was right and you were wrong. Most every contract is going to have a winner and a loser. Did you sell at a profitable price? |
