Yeah it was a surprise. That picture of the worst corn actually came from the second field we shelled and it was a small hot spot. I didn't get a picture of the best, although the one titled "the good" was almost as good as it got. That was the best yield from the worst looking corn I've ever had.

That was DS 6611 corn. I had about 90 acres of it and very little of it was over 6' tall, most shorter than that. The whole 90 acres was somewhere around 117 bpa or so. Moved into a field of Pioneer 33V16 this afternoon that looked a WHOLE lot better than the 6611, but it seems to be yielding about the same. It is standing better, it's taller, and higher ear placement.
