Did you have the cones driven by a variable speed reel drive circuit ? I ran the Roll-A-Cone Attachment using an extra hydraulic orbit motor that ran off the circuit normally used for the variable speed reel on the cutting platform. There was also a couple different sprockets that could be used to change the beater (that was optional) speed in relation to the cones. With a variable speed feeder house controlling the stalk rolls and header auger and the variable speed drive on the cones I could get just the right combination I needed for the conditions. Mind you I got plenty of cone speed as there was times when the ground speed indicator showed 0.0 I was having to go that slow. |
