Dagmar, MT | Hello Wheatwacker I'm in NE MT. We hit 10.50 on Friday then 11.00 Tuesday about 4 pm. I think it hit 11.50 late today(Wednesday). I was at the elevator around 4:30 and they still showed 11 but later on DTN showed 11.50 for NE MT. The end users must be scared s$%6%*ss. I've no idea where this is going to end. They're still pulling in $5 dollar durum contracted this spring so I think the elevators are making out OK. Both elevators we sell to have plenty to come in thru december yet prices keep going up! After sitting in line all day talking to other farmers, I don't think there's a lot of unsold durum left in the county. Hope you do well. I do not feel sorry for the pasta millers, 2 years ago we waited all day to dump 3.25 durum. | |
