Decaturville TN | Hey Jeff, I have a specialty rotor in the 1660. It does a pretty good job in green beans. I believe your standard rotor will do better job in corn though. I had problems in some of the drought stressed corn that was replanted in late May (not because of the freeze-long story) It polinated in the 100 plus temps. I couldn't get it all off the cob. The grains were very short and the cob was rubbery. I don't know if any combine would have done a good job; it was even hard to shell with my hand but I have heard standard rotors are better in corn. It's gona be a lot easier hauling those beans this year compared to other years. Whole crop average last year- 50 bu, year before that -60 bu, this year-no where close to either of those numbers.
