Local land auction yesterday.
350 odd acres. 1/2 Mexico silt loams, eroded, $3,000.
1/2 mainly armstrongs, eroded, $2750.
Best guess on fertility would be P1 and P2's in the single digits, K less than 2% base saturation. It has been in CRP for 25 years.
Neighbor said there was a list of potential cash renters at the auctioneers table.
Sold to a drywall company out of St. Louis.
This would be 30-40 bu bean grd. Cty avg is 36.
100-150 bu corn grd. 5 yr avg locally on dryland is less than 100.
