| continious rain over last month is ruining season. early spring was great until faucet was turned on. have not really started cutting hay, some corn has been replanted 3 times. tobacco is slowly drowing out. we have had around 10+ inches of rain over last 5 weeks. water table is so high, we have had 1.5 inches this weekend and fields are flooded from it. some flooded fields have had water sitting since april and only once dried out as of today. my 4th of july sweet corn is 10 inches high and field of tomatoes are trying to first blossom. unfortunately some towns this weekend had 11 inches. we were lucky as forecasting was expecting 4 to 6 inches and they were sort of good wrong here. new england is having a very bad spring/ summer so far. we expect the corn to be chopped in sept. will be preceded by a hurricane to finish off the year.
