Subject: RE: Flooding....

Thigs here in North Central PA dont look very good. I am located along the Chemung River that runs into the Susquehanna 15 miles south of me. I have been blessed compared to my friends and family south of me.Most of the 5 to 7 inches of rain was just east of me in the Susquehanna river water shed. In this part of the country we grow alot of corn for local dairy farms. I have only lost some corn and beans in the low spots on the river flats. My father 25 miles south of me has about 750 acres of corn and beans. When I left tonight it was all under water but 140acres. Flooding is the worst I have ever seen, father did say 1972 was worse. I dont think we can reach avg yields this year even on the ground that hasnt been flooded, just to much rain. Two thirds of the corn west and south of me in the river flats is under water. Have some pics will try to post them soon. Good luck and have a wonderful year.
