Yes - works fine. It would be best if the soil is dry when you do it and can couple that w/a rain in few days but that's best case scenario.

Waist high? Well, that depends on how tall you are. I've done 2' - 3' tall corn w/no problems. If there isn't a lot of residue, I'd probably opt for just using the local guy and streaming on the N. You say they charge 7.5 but what is the cost of knifing in AA?

If you do something other than knife in the AA, it would be nice if you post the results this fall. GL
