Subject: RE: Monsanto Buys other Seed Companies

When all is said and done, only two things will matter to us growers. The performance of the hybrid and the cost of the seed. Seed cost per bushel of production will be the figure that matters.
From a company perspective, seed inventory management will determine their future. And a lot of seed companies are doing a very poor job with inventory control. I expect a major shakeout within the next few years. We may have concerns that these small companies will sell out to the majors. I strongly suspect that many of these companies are hoping they will be bought out.
