![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=3984&type=profile&rnd=527) West Texas | Took a roundabout way to town to get parts and drop off rims for new tires. Saw a pair of 4-row pickers working over what looked like <1 bale dryland cotton. Hope those boys are getting paid by the acre cause they sure won't make money by the pound. Seems like they've been here a couple of weeks already, as I noted picker-harvested circles here and there. And just this morning, a pair of 6-row pickers and builders were roading east.
Also noted some strippers were parked and undergoing repairs. My nephew was working for one crew, and he said they'd had a weeks worth of bad luck in one day. Wanted to know if I was volunteering a hand. Told him no thanks, the bad luck might be contagious. I probably brought home a bit of the jinx, just from stopping to talk. Maybe I can spread it a bit thinner by talking about it here. :-)
