Most here would say the opposite ,Farm the land you own better and dump the rented ,Grow crops that work ?Rented land here is always available and highly sought after by sunflower growers to make rotation work but little else ,Rended land is always marginal and poorly maintained and drained so better avoided ,Good land stays in families and certain circles so is too expensive to be profitable .You clean it up ,Drain it and spray it and then the owner offers it up for a better price and you get shafted,All that work for 2- 3 crops ?I'll just be planting what pays next year ,Oats,Soys ,Canola and sunflowers .
I'm clearing my own bush and selling the timber and breaking the land before i'll rent ?
