My theory is the soybean seed industry has some similarities to the poultry ,hog and dairy industry. They can perform very well under the proper conditions but if those conditions aren't there you get poor performance. ideal conditions are easier to control in a confinement barn, not so easy in a feild with 8 soil types and unpredictable weather. I wouldn't be surprised if you would look back in the ancestory of each soybean line that many of they share a common link.
