I agree.  This year was one of the best years we've seen for bean growing conditions in a long time, and the yields were disappointing to say the least.

We had good even stands, plenty of early moisture (and continued late irrigation), good weed control, very few blistering hot days, low insect & disease damage, and &$%#^ low yields for those conditions.
