Worked with an agronomist that got their Doctoral studying Soybean Cyst Nematode. She claimed that you could lose ONE HALF of your yield due to SCN and not see the first symptom above ground! I have no reason to doubt her and the University folks had a lot of respect for her.

That little fact uncovered along with the observation that we have very few areas that are cyst free, wonder what that little bugger might be doing to hamper yield growth? Maybe we are just barely breeding ourselves up to the level of damage.
