Subject: RE: dug up some cover crops

SW Indiana
I would like more information on the winter peas. We farm several acres of vegetables and our ground is bare when we are finished. Usually goes to seed corn the next year. How do you plant the peas, drill or with a spreader? Also what do you do with them in the spring? Chemically kill them, or chisel plow? What is the cost per acre and what kind of Nitrogen credit do you think you get. We use some covercrop wheat or rye now, but looking for something else. Thanks.
