NW Washington | Use google or some other search engine and you will find info about using popup fertilizer for corn. I recommend that you try to find research that was done in your area or the southeast as your soil and weather situation is totally different than that in Minnesota or Iowa. In the north the big issue in wet cold conditions is getting some phosphate near the plant to get them off to a good start. Personally, I doubt that you will see a big yield difference between broadcast and popup under most conditions if your soil has good overall fertility. And it is something else to fiddle with when your trying to plant corn. I sure would run some tests plots/strips if you do decide to try popup.
