USDA NRCS, average is 8 Tons on our soil with tillage, one ton with No Till. Slope is key to drainage but also erosion.

0-2
2-6
6-12
12-18 can be tilled
18-25 pasture or wood
25 plus mountains or woodland
7 slopes, VIII land classes, farmers farm the first 4.
