Don, I don't think he is listening beyond it isn't doing what he wants.

K, There are some basic issues:

1) The software that operates these forums will not allow that option.  It doesn't matter if it is a fantastic idea, it is not possible as currently operated

2) Just changing to software that does is not as simple as going from Internet Explorer to Firefox.  If you think Facebook caused an uproar with it's new Timeline, that is nothing to messing with a bunch of farmer's forums. That is actually part of how AgTalk came to be.  The most popular farmer's forum got to doing some really stupid stuff in the name of "improvements"  They almost literally drove away many of their core users.

3) This "to the top" concept has been discussed ... and discussed .. and discussed over and over again.  Every time it is the overwhelming majority concensus is "Leave it alone!!!" The people who use these forums are not all dummies who have never went online before.  They have been other places and tried other things and have come to realize for these forums as currently used moving threads around would be a disaster.

Go over to the @gOnline Talk pages and scroll WAY down as far as you can and post comments on 2-3 threads and see what it does to them.  Then imagine that happening on a forum used as heavily as these are.

It's kind of like the ladies who wanted to put a fountain in the church entry way.  It sounds like a great idea ... until you ask who is going to maintain it and where are you going to put up the receiving line at a wedding and how do we get a casket past it when we have a funeral? All the sudden it was not thought through very well.
