It made a Crop | I had 4 strips of Twin row 30" corn this year. A Rain/Hail Storm with 70 mph cross wind put almost all down, some flat. The population on the twin was about 4000 more than the straight single 30" rows next to it. The twins all put out more weight than the singles.
I had a reel on the corn head, without it the twins would have a real PIA to get through it..
Here's some twin row harvest pictures. I took them with a Blackberry so the quality not the greatest.
The last pictures maybe more like 15" rows. Because I made the twins by making a second pass with the planter. I made the mistake of answering the cell phone when planting one of the twin strips I had a section about 200-300 ft that was 15".
