Goff Kansas
ordered a little today, and a bag of dk 53-11, med maturity costs around 80 bucks pre discounts.. plant around 65000 seeds per acre around here, and seeds/lb are around 14000. tipical yeild here is 80 - 130, and is almost always put on marginal ground.

as far as price per bushel, this fall when wheat price was really high, milo trumped corn by as much as 20 cents in topeka kansas. destination Europe. high wheat prices made wheat non feasible to feed, and we raise too much gmo corn.. last yr., mexico (i think) did not want gmo corn, and milo was a dime over at times. they have no problems with the gmo now, and if wheat price stays high, milo may very well stay with it. would not bank on it though.

fert requirments. might be a little fuzzy here, but same as corn per bushel as far as n, maybe a little less. can tolerate higher acidic soils.
