Thumb of Michigan
I apoligize for not having text to go with pics. Follow along, hope I can make this as clear as mud.

Picture #:

1. This is the custom planter we hire sometimes. He won't let me drive it.

2. Loading rye off truck into plane tender. He will let me drive the tender.

3. Neighbors Oilseed Radish field. Harvested pickles mid august, OSR seeded late august. Picture was taken 11/10/07, foilage is about 3' tall.

4-6. Field looks very good, except where Lassie has over irrigated it.

7. I didn't have a tape measure along. I wear a size 10 1/2.

8. This is a much more accurate way to measure. The universal fog line method.

9. Clover seeded into corn, mid august. Seeding rate was 2 handfulls.

10 Oilseed Radish seeded next to clover, same day, same seeding rate. Pitiful stand, radish doesn't like competition.

11-12. Radish seeded into soys across the road. Same day as corn seeding, same rate of seed (2 handfulls). Doing just fine.

13. Clover (really) right next to OSR. We think (not sure) that Classic applied to field this summer prevented the clover from coming.

14-15. Planting soys into Aroostock rye. Field was seeded the previous August by air into corn. Rate was 3/4 bu per ac.

16-17. Aerial seeded Radish into soys late August. Seeding rate was 10#. Should have been seeded heavier, and a week earlier. This was seeded about 1 month before the pic was taken.
