Woodham, Ontario | We use old tires to hold the plastic down on the bunk silos and sometimes one may roll away and generally they get retrieved. During second cut my brother was cutting along the bunk silo and dragged a tire for almost a mile to the other side of the field and left an uncut strip conveniently under the swath. When the harvester came along and picked it up, it broke the chain that drives the entire pickup. We thought it was just plugged (not our harvester) and took a while for the operator to realize what had happened. Took over an hour to get the right chain joiners... | |
